“Wild is the music of autumnal winds
amongst the faded woods.”

Through the jewelled Chinars, I wend my way
I feast on golden slivers that on shorn branches sway.
Is it a forest with a dapple of sunlight gone astray
Or Nature saluting Monet?
Wild is the music of the autumnal winds
amongst the faded woods.

Perhaps it is the Fall soaked in pensive air!
She whispers to russet glades: hickories, ash and cherry
A wanton breeze flirts with shimmering leaves.
Are maestros’ too inspired by autumnal breeze?
Whilst gazing at falling leaves,
Massennet wove symphonies.
***
Soaked in a riot of colours,
And autumnal strains,
He scribbled concertos with care.
Thaïs, appears, struck by his melody
Lost in rapture of autumn’s soulful silences.
